ISFM Seminarian Guide
Welcome to the Idaho School of Faith and Ministry. Here is your interactive guide to getting started.
After receiving approval from the Commission on Ministry (COM), your first action is to formally register with the school. Please fill out the online registration form to provide your basic information and confirm your desire to join. This form will be sent directly to the Dean of the Seminary, Dr. David Wettstein.
The annual tuition for the ISFM is $2100, due in full by March 1st of the following year. We encourage you to explore all available options for managing this commitment.
- Inform Your Parish: Discuss the fee with your parish and inquire about the possibility of financial assistance.
- Diocesan Scholarship: A scholarship from the diocese is available for up to one-third ($700) of the tuition fee.
- Requesting Relief: If you require further assistance, please contact the treasurer and complete the necessary paperwork to apply for tuition relief.
As a member of the ISFM, you are expected to follow the guidelines provided by the Dean. The program is a guided self-study program supported by a small, dedicated volunteer faculty.
- ✓Attendance: You are required to attend all courses and retreats prescribed in the curriculum.
- ✓Ember Letters: Around the Ember Days each year, you must send a letter to the bishop updating them on your academic progress, spiritual challenges, and your hopes and dreams.
- ✓COM Liaison: Maintain a relationship and open communication with the liaison appointed to you by the Commission on Ministry.
- ✓Timeliness: It is your responsibility to complete your studies on time and stay on top of your schedule.
