Support Camp Staff Training for Idaho Gives!
This year for Idaho Gives, we’re focusing on something that makes camp truly special—our staff training! Every summer, our team undergoes rigorous preparation to ensure they’re ready for the rewarding challenge of working at camp. This year, we’re taking it even further by certifying more lifeguards and expanding water-based programs, including extra time on the Wibit, a beginner swimming course, and more!
But it’s about more than just fun in the water. Our enhanced training program equips staff with the skills to support low-income and disadvantaged youth through safe, inclusive water play. By addressing historic trauma and systemic inequities, we’re creating a nurturing environment where kids can build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. With structured activities like swimming lessons and group play, children not only gain essential water skills but also experience healing through joyful, therapeutic play.
By investing in staff training, we’re transforming the waterfront into a hub of equity and wellness—empowering our staff to bridge opportunity gaps and help campers create brighter futures.
